EPL: Jesus’ self-assurance will decline, David Seaman warned Arsenal

David Seaman, a former goalkeeper for Arsenal, has issued a warning that Gabriel Jesus’ confidence will be at an all-time low after he was held goalless during his most recent match for the Gunners.

When Arsenal defeated Nottingham Forest 5-0 on Sunday, Jesus was once unable to score.

On Sunday, the Brazilian did, however, contribute two assists, assisting Martin Odegaard and Reiss Nelson.

The supporters were so anxious for Jesus to score [on Sunday],” Seaman said on his podcast, Seaman Says, prior to Arsenal’s Europa League match against FC Zurich on Thursday.

“Every time he was around the box, they were saying, ‘Give it to Jesus! Give it to Jesus!’. He said.

“They were saying his confidence is low because he has not scored for a while.

“I was thinking it might actually be a bit lower, you know because we’ve scored five and he has not scored one. You know, so it is a bit… it was weird”. He  added
