APC vice presidential flag bearer Kashim Shettima has doubted the motion of Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi becoming Nigeria’s President come February 2023.
Speaking on Channels Tv on Friday, Mr. Shettima asserted that Peter Obi is unstructured and so ineligible to be president of Nigeria.
Peter Obi, the Labour party candidate, can only be president of Igboland and not Nigeria, according to the former governor of Borno state.
“Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, lacks the political infrastructure necessary to prevail in the next 2023 election. I don’t think he has the political structure or expertise to be president of this country. Shettima stated on Friday, July 15 edition of Channels TV Politics Today.
“Nigeria needs a technocrat and an experienced leader who would carry on from where President Muhammadu Buhari left off, not someone who will return us to the PDP period. That is not what Nigerians desire.
Shettima claimed that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the party’s selected candidate, who he referred to as a unifier and a technocrat, is the only one currently qualified to run for president.
“In this situation, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, our candidate, is the ideal candidate for the job. He is an administrator, a unifier, a technocrat, etc. Because of this, Nigerians of all ages are uniting behind him to support him in the upcoming election.
“Presidential position is not for the unprepared neither is it an all comers affairs. Peter Obi can only become a President in Igboland but definitely not in Nigeria. Nigeria is too big for him to handle. He has no leadership ideology nor experiences like President Muhammadu and our incoming President in the person of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
